When & Why Would Your Pet Need an Ultrasound

We offer veterinary ultrasound services, a non-invasive and pain-free diagnostic procedure.

The real-time images or snapshots are used to calculate fluid amounts and monitor blood flow. It is also used with other diagnostic tests, like biopsies or aspirations, with virtually no stress on your pet.

Echocardiogram

An echocardiogram or cardiac ultrasound displays a three-dimensional image of your pet’s heart. It shows the blood flow to and from the heart chambers and valves. We will also be able to spot dangerous leaks or regurgitation of blood.

Echocardiograms are available in house through a traveling board-certified cardiologist.

How Does it Help

We use this procedure to help diagnose many heart problems like:

  • Birth defects
  • Heart murmur
  • Labored breathing
  • Irregular heartbeats (arrhythmia)

Abdominal Ultrasound

An abdominal ultrasound is done to diagnose internal diseases by displaying images of the kidneys, liver, stomach, or other internal organs of your pet.
